Hornet keeps cancelling

Just joined the Hornet crowd with an R/T Plus and already hitting snags. The scheduled cabin conditioning keeps canceling itself due to "low battery," even though the high voltage battery is at 100% and it's plugged into a level 1 charger. What gives? if this feature can't even work under ideal conditions, what's the point? dealt with something like ths anyone?

Your setup relies on an IDCM to step down high voltage to 12V for both the systems and the battery. The charging rate varies depending on the operating mode, as the ICE turns the motor generators to provide power

I haven't come across anything official regarding the 'Cabin Conditioning Cancelled due to Low Voltage' message. Unless a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) appears, it seems like the dealer is just guessing

It's likely canceling because the system is checking your 12v battery, not the high-voltage pack, if the 12v charge is low, cabin pre-conditioning wont run, even when the main battery is full. A weak 12v, a charging system issue, or the slower output of a level 1 charger could be triggering it. Charging the 12v separately or having it tested might fix it.

Yeah, that's a common snag with the Hornet PHEVs. The system checks the 12V battery for scheduled conditioning, not just the high-voltage pack. If the 12V dips a little, it cancels. Dealer can update software or replace a weak 12V.
