2022 Hornet won’t stay muted?

I drive a 2022 Hornet R/T Plus and noticed something weird... Like when you're hitting the mute button by the gear selector, it mutes the radio for half a second, then it goes back on. It happens with FM and Bluetooth. Not sure if it's a software issue or if my button is failing already but I don't think so since it's just been 3 years. I had older cars. Anyone experienced this?

Haven't experienced this but it sounds like a glitch to me. have you tried checking for updates or doing a reset on the system? Hopefully, it's a simple fix!

yeah, tht sounds like a software bug, not a faulty button. If the button were physically broken, it would either not work at all or be intermittent. The fact that it consistently mutes for a half second before unmuting points to the system receiving the signal but then immediately overriding the command.
You might have to wait for a software update from Dodge to get a real fix for this

I've run into that on my Hornet too, it's not the button failing, it's a software glitch. The mute only pauses instead of holding. Some folks got it fixed with the latest Uconnect update at the dealer.
